Dr. Thomas Hermanns
Data Scientist at Blue Yonder. Looks for, and continually finds, complex tasks beyond data analytics and data science that fascinate him.
Thomas Hermanns received his doctor’s degree in experimental high-energy physics from the RWTH Aachen, Germany. His thesis dealt with the charge measurement of top-quarks using photon radiation, a rare physics process that is very hard to identify. Having finished his PhD studies he moved to CERN, the European laboratory for particle physics, where he worked as a senior fellow on non-linear beam dynamics and project planning in accelerator physics. He then became an analysis group leader at the University of Hamburg. In 2012 he joined the Blue Yonder family where he works on diverse and complex tasks in data science, project management, and standardizations.
